Climate Action and Sustainability Committee

CASC

The Climate Action and Sustainability Committee is made up of students, faculty, administrators, and facilities staff. It’s charged with promoting and supporting the College’s climate action agenda and with advancing the College’s efforts to achieve carbon neutrality. CASC was created in 2017 and is designed to work with SEED and the Sustainability Office. The meetings are open to members of the community and we encourage you to attend! They're a great way to learn about how sustainable initiatives are implemented on campus.

Green Building Guidelines

Making Buildings Sustainable

Several members of SEED worked with Professor Cunningham and a team from Facilities wrote Vassar's Green Building Guidelines in 2019. These outline goals for Vassar to accomplish in all projects relating to building construction, renovation, retrofitting, efficiency, and maintenance.
